Objective

Create an online portal to manage post-training knowledge assessments, deliver automated credentials, and provide an AI-driven Knowledge Base for a global sales team.

Audience

Dell sales team members globally who require continuous updates on technology upgrades.

Design & Development Process

The project originated as an initial testing portal using the WordPress plugin LearnDash, but issues with email delivery and shallow reporting necessitated a more robust solution. I conducted an extensive research phase, attending learning technology live events to find an all-in-one enterprise platform. Once MapleLMS was selected, I used Figma to wireframe a custom UI based on the LMS layout, but enhanced it with personalized widgets, such as a knowledge base search bar and a custom-designed learning path.

The development phase involved a strategic migration where I utilized custom CSS to align the interface with strict brand standards. I integrated Algolia to provide curated solutions via an AI search engine and utilized Credly for authorized digital badge issuance. To ensure user adoption, I produced video tutorials, newsletters, course covers, and certificates using the Adobe Creative Suite. Usability testing involved small group surveys performing tasks such as completing a course, downloading badges, and using the "forgot password" function.

Outcomes & Achievements

  • Successfully scaled operations from 50 to 90 countries and 3,000 to 7,000 staff members.
  • Empowered training teams to identify knowledge gaps through deep reporting.
  • Established a global training community that encourages the sharing of techniques across international borders.
